Seals 2024 Picnic and Time Trials is this Friday and Saturday!

 

The weekend of April 19-20 includes the team picnic 4/19 Friday 5-7 pm at SRD, followed by Time Trials 4/20 at noon Saturday (10:00 am for the individual photos, and 11:30 am sharp for the team photo) at the Tam pool.

 

We kick off our season with our traditional Seals Picnic this Friday, April 19 at 5:00 pm at the Strawberry Recreation Department grassy field next to the tennis court.  Food will be available for purchase from El Paisa Taco Truck. This is a great time to connect with other Seals families, brush up on the team cheer, play games, and get any questions answered.  Bring the whole family, and please note:  there will be no swim practices that day!

At the picnic you can pick up any Seals gear you may have ordered — either online orders from T&B sports or the Seals 60th Anniversary special edition personalized or nonpersonalized swim caps. 

Time Trials is a practice meet on Saturday, April 20 at noon for only the Seals team and it gives swimmers the opportunity to swim a meet in a low stress situation and to get swim times in events which will set benchmarks for themselves for improvement throughout the season.  All fundamental swimmers should give it a try, even if it's the only meet they will swim during this MSL season! If you plan on attending time trials, signups will open tomorrow morning and will close on Thursday at 9PM.  In the future, dual meet signups will close on Tuesdays at 9PM.  Declaring your swimmer's commitment is important for setting up these meets.

 

The Time Trials is also the only opportunity for an individual/buddy/sibling swim photo, and the entire Seals team photo before the meet!  Here are the photography details:

 

 

 

The Tam practice schedule will change on April 29th.  All Strawberry practice times are unchanged, but due to the end of the high school swim season, the Tam practice schedule changes and will continue as such through the end of the season.
