Here Come the Orcas
Let's get fired up for our first home meet of the season.
Heat sheets are now online
We realize that things were a little hectic at Scott Valley - we want to try a few things to help our meets run more smoothly. Please read the entire email so that we can all be prepared to help each other out.Heat sheets are now online

Hand marking example
Check your swimmer's heats and lanes online the night before and write on their hand in the morning- BEFORE coming to the pool. An hand marking example appears here and there is also an example in the Seals roster book.
Have your swimmer check the relay board during the week to see if they are in a relay. Remind them it is their responsibility to the team to pay attention and line up in time and in the correct lane.
Please do not bother the coaches during the meet with questions- please look for the Answer Mom or any other Board members.
We need to limit parents behind the blocks during the 8 & under and 9-10 line ups. Please be assured that we have line up volunteers that will help them make it to the block. Cheer for your swimmer at the opposite end of the pool from the blocks.
We are going to give our line up volunteers poles with lane numbers prominently displayed so that you can help your child find the correct lane and then proceed to the opposite end to cheer.
ALL swimmers need to stay until the end of the meet so that our hardworking relay teams have someone to cheer them on.
Please do not park in any of the spots along the wall that borders the pool.
We would also like to adjust our seating at the pool to allow our visiting team to have enough space to sit comfortably and cheer on their swimmers. From now on, the entire wall behind the computer desk from the slide to the blue lost and found cabinet, will be designated as the visitors section, along with the area around the diving board and near the front gate.Strawberry fans can set up along the shallow end of the pool and on the side near the locker rooms. Please, be considerate to our guests and help them have an enjoyable experience as guests of the Strawberry Seals.
Saturday is expected to be HOT. Please remind your swimmers to put on sunscreen and drink plenty of water.GO SEALS!!!
