Swim Club
In order to be eligible to swim on the Seals your swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards continuous freestyle and be able to kick 25 yards on their back. If they cannot meet this requirement we encourage them to sign up for the Strawberry Rec Center Swim Club.
Swim Club is a new and exciting aquatic program designed for children 6 years old and up that are at a Level 3 or above. Each swimmer will have the opportunity to work one on one with SRD Aquatic Coordinators, Megan Wilgenbush and Kat Sorensen. Swimmers will develop, strengthen and improve over the course of a 14 week session.
NOTE: Participants must bring goggles with them to each class. Students with long hair must secure hair or have it in a swim cap.
Beginner/Intermediate
(Level 3 and above) Students will be introduced to detailed skill technique, swimming drills, starts, finishes, and diving while building endurance in the water. For children who are interested in joining the Seals this is a great start!
Intermediate/Advanced
(Level 4 and above) Students will learn stroke technique to improve strokes and increase speed in the water. Instructors will work individually with each swimmer to help develop, strengthen and refine each swimmer’s stroke.
